Bond set for man accused of murdering estranged wife

Bond has been set for the man accused of shooting and killing his wife, and then burning her body.

A judge set Dr. Brian Burns’ bond at $10 million or $1 million cash.

Burns is charged with murder in the disappearance of his wife Carla Burns.

She was last seen in Saline County on March 8 at 3:30 p.m.

The two are separated and Carla has filled three separate restraining orders on him.

Investigators say Brian shot Carla, burned her body, and then spread her ashes to try and conceal her death.

He has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and one charge of concealment of a death.

Brian is being held at the Saline County detention center.
