KSP trooper involved in deadly shooting

SUNDAY UPDATE: KSP has identified the man who was shot and killed.  He is Dylan Whitaker, 23, of White Plains, Kentucky. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Madisonville.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Kentucky State Police is investigating an officer-involved deadly shooting.

KSP says a trooper was involved in a pursuit with an ATV rider that ended on Dragline Road in Hopkins County.  KSP says the driver lost control of his ATV, causing it to overturn.

KSP says the man started firing shots at the trooper.  The trooper returned fire, killing the man.  The trooper was not injured in the shooting.
