Chiropractor faces 13th sexual abuse charge, pleads not guilty to 12 others

Dr. Douglas McAdoo, a Mayfield, Kentucky, chiropractor, says he’s not guilty of the charges he faces. His attorney entered that plea Wednesday on his behalf at an arraignment in Graves County.

McAdoo was arraigned on 12 charges of sexual abuse and two counts of indecent exposure.

After court, we learned about a 13th charge of sexual abuse. It didn’t make the court docket in time, so McAdoo will have a second arraignment on April 6. We now know, after gathering the complaints, some allegations date back to 15 years ago.

In all 13 of the claims against McAdoo, the victims say they were touched inappropriately. Most were reported under clothing. One report claims McAdoo got on top of a patient. There are also two claims that he revealed himself in front of them.

The Kentucky Board of Chiropractic Examiners will not comment on the status of his license because the investigation is ongoing.

McAdoo’s preliminary hearing is April 20.
