KYTC closes a Marshall County road

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it has closed Griggstown Road in Marshall County.

Griggstown Road, which is part of Kentucky 782, is closed at mile point 1.2 because a couple of beams failed on a drainage structure that carries an unnamed stream, according to KYTC spokesman Keith Todd.

The closure is a 10th of a mile East of Salyer Creek Road. Todd says the roadway will remain closed there until further notice so KYTC engineers can evaluate the structure to find out if it can be repaired or if it will have to be replaced.
