Road restriction planned in Trigg County for overpass inspection

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it plans to restrict traffic to one lane on Bush Road in Trigg County on Thursday.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says Bush Road, which is part of Kentucky 6049, will be restricted to one lane where it crosses Interstate 24. He says the work zone will allow crews to use a snooper truck to inspect the overpass there.

No farm equipment or other wide loads will be able to pass through the work zone during the restriction.

Todd says there should be no impact to traffic on I-24. Drivers can expect to encounter one-lane traffic with alternating flow controlled by flaggers.

The work zone will be in place from about 8 a.m. to about 3 p.m. Thursday.
