Missing Indiana toddler’s body found, man arrested

NBC affiliate WTHR reports an arrest in the missing person case involving 1-year-old Shaylyn Ammerman. Police told WTHR they found the toddler’s body in a remote area near the White River. This after police started searching for the child when she was reported missing from her father’s home in Spencer, Indiana.

22-year-old Kyle Parker was taken into custody and is being held in connection with the child’s disappearance and death. 

An autopsy will help determines the cause of Ammerman’s death.
