Carbondale Police investigating deadly Sunday shooting

Carbondale Police is investigating a deadly shooting early Sunday morning.

Police responded to the 400 block of West Walnut Street shortly after 2am and found a party taking place with a person with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  That person was taken to the Carbondale Memorial Hospital for treatment.  

Police later found a second victim near the party and determined that person died from a gunshot wound.

The victim’s name has not been identified.  Carbondale Police has not released any information about a possible suspect or arrests or if the two people involved in the shooting were in an argument with each other.
