Boat ramp to be temporarily closed on Crab Orchard Lake

A boat ramp on Crab Orchard Lake will be temporarily closed for about a month.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service says they need to perform rehabilitation work on the West End boat ramp located on Spillway Road.

The boat ramp and parking lot will be closed while work is being done.

Those who want to get onto Crab Orchard lake will need to use one of the boat facilities at Greenbriar Recreation Area, Prairie Creek Recreation Area, or the Route 13 ramp.

The ramp will be closed on March 30 and will be reopened as soon as work is complete.
