Lane restriction on portion of Trigg County road until further notice

A road in Trigg County has been restricted to a 15 maximum load width until further notice.

The restriction is on Bush Road at the overpass where it crosses Interstate 24.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says during an inspection of the overpass, inspectors found one beam in need of repair.

The load width restriction will be in place until repairs can be made in the coming weeks.

This may prevent some farm equipment from crossing the overpass.

Keith Todd with the transportation cabinet says over the weekend the barrels were moved.

Anyone with information on who may have moved the barrels should contact the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office at (270) 522-6014 or Kentucky State Police at (270) 856-3721.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says if the barrels continued to be moved, the overpass will be closed and the road will be barricaded.
