Two railroad crossings closed for maintenance

There will be two railroad crossing closed in the Local 6 area on Tuesday.

The first one is in Hopkinsville at the US 41/East 9th Street crossing. This is between South Clay Street and South Campbell Street.

The closure will start around 6:00 a.m. There will be a marked detour.

The second closing is north of Earlington on KY 2171/Hubert Reid Road. The road will be closed between Hecla Road and West Highland Park.

Both of these rail crossings are being closed for maintenance and upgrades. Work is expected to take about two to three days to complete.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says more work is expected on rail crossings in Christian, Hopkins, and Webster counties.
