Jerry Walker’s daughter testifies in her father’s trial

Jerry Walker’s 10-year-old daughter took the stand in her father’s trial.

The defense began making its case on Thursday.

Walker’s daughter and her softball coach Wilfred Edwards testified.

Walker was supposed to attend a track meet in 2013.

He is accused of instead spending the weekend with his mistress.

Prosecutors say Walker staged photos to show he went to the track meet in order to appeal his termination from Paducah Middle School.

Edwards testified that Walker’s daughter got sick at a birthday party the day Walker is accused of staging the pictures.

Walker’s daughter also testified her mom and dad took her to Dallas Medical for an ear infection that day.

Walker’s former girlfriend, Jennifer Griffith, testified on Wednesday that Walker never went to the track met.
