Severe weather to hit this afternoon

WPSD Local 6’s Trent Okerson says you should prepare for severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon.

He says the storms have the potential to produce damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes.

The highest risk will be over the Western Kentucky and Northwest Tennessee area.

A severe thunderstorm watch in in effect until 4:00 p.m. for the Purchase area of Kentucky, Northwest Tennessee, and the Bootheel of Missouri.
