Woman and child go to hospital after single-vehicle wreck in Lone Oak

McCracken County sheriff’s deputies say a local woman and her child were taken to Lourdes hospital after her 2001 Honda Passport overturned off of South Friendship Road.

Deputies say the vehicle skidded on wet pavement before it slid off the road and overturned into a 15-foot ditch just north of Trailee Drive. Mercy Regional EMS took the driver, 23-year-old Jackie Metcalf of Paducah, to Lourdes for what deputies describe as a non-incapacitating injury. Her 18-month-old son Jaxon Fults was taken to Lourdes in a private vehicle to be checked.

An adult passenger, 23-year-old Johnny Fults, declined medical treatment, deputies say. The part of South Friendship Road where the wreck happened was closed for about half an hour. Lone Oak Fire Department also responded to the wreck.
