Jury finds Jerry Walker guilty on all counts
UPDATE: The jury has recommended a three year sentence for Jerry Walker, one year for each charge.
A jury Friday found former Paducah Middle School assistant principal Jerry Walker guilty of all charges: perjury, tampering with evidence and tampering with a witness.
In May 2013, Walker was supposed to attend a track and field meet in Louisville. He was accused of meeting another employee, Jennifer Griffith, instead and staying two nights with her in a Hyatt Hotel using school money.
Walker was terminated in June, but requested a tribunal hearing to appeal. The hearing was held in July 2013, when prosecutors say Walker committed perjury and tampered with evidence. Prosecutors said Walker staged photos with Griffith in an attempt to make it look like he attended the track meet.
