Diamond grinding on Kentucky Avenue in Paducah delayed

UPDATE: The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says diamond grinding on Kentucky Avenue has been delayed.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the work is delayed to avoid restricting traffic during AQS QuiltWeek this month. He says the diamond grinding will be delayed until after the quilters have left town.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on Kentucky Avenue in Paducah.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says crews will be out diamond grinding along US 45/Kentucky Avenue.

This will help make the new road surface smoother to drive on.

Work will be done along sections of Kentucky Avenue from Otis Dinning Drive to Walter Jetton Boulevard.

Diamond grinding is expected to take a couple of weeks.
