Hundreds gather for Tater Day parade

Hundreds of people crowded the streets for the 173rd Tater Day parade in Benton, Kentucky, Monday.

Patrol cars made their way up the road in honor of this year’s theme: remember our troops. About 10,000 people enjoyed the festivities.  From the food, carnival rides and pop-up shops Teela Etheridge says it’s a small town American tradition.

"It’s a lot of southern pride in one way or another…It’s just a good time for everyone to come out and be together and have a corn dog," Etheridge says.
