Man charged in Cape Girardeau shooting death

Cape Girardeau, Missouri, police say a man has been arrested in connection to the death of a man killed in a shooting last week. 

Police say 19-year-old Tavious Tipler is charged with first degree murder in the March 31 death of Airious Darling. Both men are of Cape Girardeau. Tipler is also charged with armed criminal action and first degree endangering the welfare of a child. 

Tipler’s bond is set at $500,000, cash only. 

Police say Tipler was originally taken into custody on April 2 on a robbery charged in an incident unrelated to the shooting.
