Restriction of U.S. 51 Ohio River ‘Cairo’ Bridge postponed

A multi-day lane and load restriction on the U.S. 51 Ohio River "Cairo"  bridge that was planned to start Wednesday has been postponed because of windy conditions, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the contractor has postponed the project until the morning of Tuesday, April 12. The crew plans to work for about eight days, then take a six day break.
