Car crashes into local business, driver faces criminal charges

A car crashes into a local business and the driver now faces criminal charges.

Around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, McCracken County sheriff’s deputies say 35-year-old Jessie Young fell asleep while driving, crossed over the eastbound lanes of Clarks River Road, and crashed into the Papa John’s.

Young was taken to the hospital and treated for non-incapacitating injuries.

Deputies charged him with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, criminal mischief and failure of owner to maintain insurance.
