Dorena-Hickman ferry to reopen

The Dorena-Hickman Ferry is expected to be back open Monday.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says service will resume at 1:00 p.m.

The ferry was closed while repair work was done to the rudders and propeller drive system.

The boat had to be taken to Memphis and put in dry dock for the repairs.

Once the ferry is open, it will be back on its normal schedule. You can see the ferry’s schedule here.

The ferry connects KY 1354 at Hickman Kentucky with Missouri Route A and Route 77 near Dorena, Missouri.
