Nashville man charged with leading police on chase through Local 6 area

A Nashville man was arrested after allegedly leading police on a chase through several Local 6 counties.

Kentucky State Police say around 10:41 p.m. Sunday a trooper saw a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Interstate 24. This was near the 56 mile marker in Caldwell County.

The trooper attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle fled. The pursuit continued on I-24 through Lyon, Livingston, Marshall, and McCracken Counties.

It eventually ended near the 16 mile marker in McCracken County.

The driver, 22-year-old Devontae Parrish, was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center and charged with:

– Speeding 26 MPH or > Over the Speed Limit
– Fleeing/Evading Police 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
– Improper Passing
– Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree – Police Officer
– Operating on a Suspended Driver’s License
