Sikeston police looking for shooting suspect, considered armed and dangerous

Police are looking for a man in connection to a fatal weekend shooting.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, the Sikeston Department of Public Safety was called to Roberta Rowe Park near Washington and Alabama Streets where several shots were heard.

Police found two victims, one shot in the torso and the other shot in the leg. Both were taken to local hospitals.

The victim shot in the leg is expected to recover. The victim shot in the chest has died from his injuries. Police have identified him as 31-year-old James "Jay" Harris Jr. of Sikeston.

Police have arrested one suspect in the case, and are looking for a second suspect.

That second suspect, 20-year-old Orlando "TJ" Sheron Jr. of Sikeston, is on the loose and is considered armed and dangerous. He has been charged with murder 1st degree and armed criminal action.

21-year-old Jeterrence Harris of Sikeston, also known as Jeterrence Wiggins, was arrested and charged with murder 1st degree and armed criminal action.
