Agreement with Paducah Water introduced at city commission meeting

An ordinance was introduced at Tuesday night’s Paducah City Commission meeting for a reimbursement agreement with Paducah Water for asphalt and concrete rehabilitation work in multiple locations of the city right-of-way.

The city says the work is associated with Paducah Water’s project to construct a new water transmission line from the treatment plant at 1800 North 8th Street to an existing water line in the 1300 block of Kentucky Avenue.

The city says it will be reconstructing the concrete and asphalt after the water line is placed, and Paducah Water is agreeing to reimburse the city an estimated $220,000.

The commission will vote on the ordinance on April 26.
