QuiltWeek about ready to kick off

The AQS Quilt Show officially kicks off Wednesday, but you can get a preview of QuiltWeek Tuesday.

Some of the quilts are on display at the River Discovery Center.

That includes the International Honor Quilt, which is made up of 500 individual triangles.

150 pieces are on display at the center for the next two weeks.

As for other events happening at the Quilt Show, Tuesday night the judges will announce the winners of this year’s Quilt Show.

That includes Best in Show, Best Wall Quilt, Best Handworkmanship, and many others.

On Wednesday, you can learn a little bit about quilting at the industry workshop. It’s happening at the Eisenhower Room of the Julian Carroll Convention Center at 4:30 p.m.

You can also meet some of the men and women who have their quilts on display. The Meet the Quilters event starts at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.

You can check out all the quilts on the show floor at the Julian Carroll Convention Center this week. Doors open for the public Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.
