Suspect wanted in deadly Sikeston shooting arrested

A man wanted in connection with a shooting in Sikeston over the weekend was arrested Monday evening.

Police with the Sikeston Department of Public Safety were looking for 20-year-old Orlando "TJ" Sheron Jr. of Sikeston.

He was found around 6:00 p.m. at a hotel near Caruthersville, Missouri.

Sheron and another man, 21-year-old Jeterrence Harris of Sikeston, are charged in connection to a deadly shooting.

The shooting happened Sunday in Roberta Rowe Park.

Several shots were fired. One man was shot in the torso and another shot in the leg.

The man shot in the leg is expected to recover.

The other man shot in the chest, 31-year-old James "Jay" Harris Jr. of Sikeston, died of his injuries.

Sheron and Harris have both been charged with murder 1st degree and armed criminal action.
