Two dead in three vehicle wreck

Two people died in a three vehicle crash Monday morning in Randolph County, Illinois.

Illinois State Police say the crash happened just before 9:00 a.m. on Illinois Route 150 east of Illinois Route 4, also known as the Steeleville T.

Troopers say a car was traveling westbound on Illinois Route 150 when it went into the other lane of traffic and hit a trailer that was being pulled by a pickup truck.

The car then hit a semi that was following the pickup truck.

The driver of the car, 39-year-old Lynette Koch of Cutler, Illinois, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, 20-year-old Shawn Farmer of Cutler, Illinois, was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.

The driver of the semi was taken to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
