Mother charged with hiding son from police

A Sikeston woman was arrested and charged with allegedly hiding her son from police.

On Sunday, two people were shot at Roberta Rowe Park. One of the victims died.

Police began a search for Orlando "TJ" Sheron, one of two suspect wanted in connection to the shooting.

Sheron was found in a hotel in Caruthersville, Missouri Monday night.

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety says that Sheron was allegedly taken to that hotel by his mother, 39-year-old Carissa Nichols.

Police say that Nichols even paid for the room.

Nichols was charged with felony of hindering prosecution through Scott County and arrested. She was given a $10,000 cash only bond.
