Wreck in downtown Carbondale sends four to hospital

Four people are being treated at Carbondale Memorial Hospital Thursday night after a two-vehicle wreck in which one vehicle struck a law office, according to Carbondale, Illinois, police.

Police were called to the scene of the wreck on the corner of Illinois Avenue and Main Street in downtown Carbondale around 9:34 p.m. Thursday. Two vehicles collided head on and one hit an office building.

Police say two passengers from each vehicle had to be taken to the hospital, and at least one person had to be cut out of the vehicle they were in by firefighters.

There does not appear to be extensive damage to the building that was hit.
