New program offers prizes for short films

A new program wants to get you and your family involved with creating a TV show.

The idea behind the program, Watch a Movie, Make a Movie, is to host showings of an original movie. If you want to get involved after that showing, it’s just $5 to audition your TV show, play or movie. If your idea is chosen, you get the payout.

Last Responders Director of Operations Ron Clark says they’re starting the program in big cities first, but because they got the idea in Paducah, it’s included too.

"We try to give the community X amount of scenes that we know will be in the show.  So, 10 scenes will be set aside in every movie for the viewing audience of WPSD TV," Clark said.

The first screening is in May in Texas.
