One killed, two injured in Trigg County wreck
One person was killed and two others injured in a four-vehicle crash in Trigg County, Kentucky.
It happened Saturday around noon on the US 68/80 Lake Barkley Bridge. KSP says a motorcycle driven by Johnathan King crossed the center lane and hit a BMW head-on. The driver of the BMW was not hurt. King and his passenger, Mary King, were thrown from the motorcycle.
Another motorcyclist, Robert Mathney, who was following King, was also injured. The Kings and Mathney were flown to a Nashville hospital, where Johnathan King later died. An autopsy is scheduled by the Davidson County Coroner.
Steven Poe, who was also on a motorcycle behind Matheny was able to stop but his motorcycle suffered damage from the debris in the road. He was not hurt.
Mary King and Mathney are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
