Brewers and Carbondale prepare for inaugural Brew Fest event

Carbondale’s inaugural Brew Fest is a little more than a week away. The event will feature dozens of local brewers and a handful of national craft breweries with batches of beer for you to sample.

The gathering is expected to draw in hundreds of people. Organizers say they hope to turn the area’s craft trend in to a community tradition.

"It’s not just regional. It’s from all across the nation. We also have the local guys in it, too, as we have a growing craft beer industry around this region,” said Carbondale Main Street Exec. Director Meghan Cole.

"It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of the beers we’re producing in the area," said Brian Mager, an area brewer.

Brew Fest is May 6 at the Town Square Pavilion in Carbondale. For more information or to buy tickets, click here.
