Paducah summer events announced at city commission meeting

The Paducah Parks Service Department outlined the calendar of special events to be offered this summer during the city commission meeting Tuesday.

Here are the dates that were announced: 

The LIVE on the RIVER Sounds of Summer series will be on the following dates:
– Saturday, June 4, featuring local youth 
– Monday, July 4, for the Independence Day Celebration
– Saturday, Aug. 6, featuring the Big Brown Truck Pull. 

The Thursday evening Riverfront Concert Series will be held June 16, June 30, July 14, July 28, August 4, and August 18.  

The Farmers Market downtown is open from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday with limited vendors. The Parks Services Department says a full market of vendors is from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
