Local elected official charged with assaulting husband’s ex-wife
A local elected official still has her job after she allegedly beat up her husband’s ex-wife.
Amanda Ballantine is the property valuation administrator in Hickman County, Kentucky.
She is facing assault charges after an incident last week.
A complaint was filed against her on Monday.
In the complaint, Tracey Clark Ballantine says Amanda grabbed her hair, hit her, pulled her to the ground, and choked her.
Tracey says the attack caused physical injury.
Amanda will be in court for an arraignment hearing on Tuesday.
