Murder suspect arrested in Williamson County, Ill.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Department says it has made an arrest in the murder of a man whose body was found lying on the ground by a pickup truck in Hurst, Illinois, early Friday morning. 

The body of 40-year-old Chad Jones of Lockport, Illinois, was found around 2 a.m. Friday at 446 North Bush Ave. in Hurst.

The sheriff’s department says 34-year-old Benjamin Howell of Hurst was arrested on a charge of first degree murder Friday. Deputies say he is jailed in the Williamson County Jail, and his bond is set at $1,000,000.
