Police investigating homicide in Hurst, IL

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in Hurst.

Around 2:00 a.m. on Friday, a person called 911 saying they found a man lying on the ground outside a pickup truck at 446 North Bush Avenue in Hurst.

The man was badly beaten and taken to Herrin Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Persons of interest are being interviewed by detectives.

An autopsy is scheduled for Friday. The name of the man is not being released at this time.
