Two injured in wreck near Princeton, Ky.
Two men were injured in a single-vehicle wreck Thursday on Interstate 69 in Caldwell County, according to the Kentucky State Police.
KSP says the wreck happened at the 76 mile marker of I-69. Troopers say Gerald Williams of Paducah was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck northbound on I-69, about three miles south of Princeton, with passenger Michael S. Turner of Kevil.
Troopers say Williams fell asleep behind the wheel and lost control of the truck, which traveled into the median. They say Williams then overcorrected, and the pickup swerved back onto the road, crossed both northbound lanes and left the right side of the road. The truck hit a guardrail.
Williams and Turner were treated at the scene by Caldwell County EMS and taken by ambulance to the Caldwell County Medical Center, troopers say.
