Benton, KY man injured after swerving SUV to miss deer

A Benton, Kentucky man was injured after his SUV crashed just before 9:00 a.m. Friday morning.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says 69-year-old Don Adams was driving east on US 68/Benton Road when he swerved to miss a deer.

His SUV went off the road, down a steep hill, through a fence, hit a fire hydrant, and then stopped after hitting a tree head on.

Adams was taken to a local hospital for treatment of incapacitating injuries.

No word on the condition of Adams.
