Judge sentences Jeffery Conrad to prison

Jeffrey Conrad, the man found guilty of second degree manslaughter for shooting and killing Casey Cox at a Reidland storage unit, was sentenced on Friday.

Judge Tim Kaltenbach sentenced Conrad to seven and a half years in prison.

That is the sentence the jury recommended.

During the sentencing Judge Kaltenbach said, "The law is quite clear that you cannot use deadly force and shoot someone and execute them for stealing property from a storage shed."

Conrad was found guilty in March.

The shooting took place in June of last year.
