Church opens doors to tornado victims

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office tells us First Baptist Church in Mayfield has opened its doors to anyone displaced by the tornado Tuesday afternoon.

The sheriff’s office says the church will be used as a shelter until further notice for anyone who needs it. 

The Red Cross says it is assessing damage in Mayfield. It is not ready for volunteers yet, but you can call their main office at 270-442-3575 if you want to help. 

The Red Cross’ Emergency Command Center will be at the General Tire in Mayfield
