ISP provides update on search for Pendleton

The Illinois State Police gave updates Tuesday night about the ongoing search in northern Pope County for a man accused of shooting a state trooper.

ISP says Dracy “Clint” Pendleton was last seen around 9:15 a.m. on Monday, May 10, wearing a black shirt, camouflage pants, and boots. Troopers say Pendelton has shaved his beard and trimmed his hair, and they provided an updated photo.

Troopers say Pendelton has sustained a possible gunshot wound to his neck from the shooting incident in Champaign County.  He has also may have a prior, unrelated knee injury that could possibly cause him to walk with a limp.

ISP says it wants a peaceful resolution to the situation and hopes Pendelton turns himself in without incident.
