Jefferson takes Alford plea

Dr. Ted Jefferson has taken an Alford plea to a harassment charge in McCracken County court.

In court Tuesday, the original charges against Jefferson were dropped. Jefferson was originally accused of making gun-related remarks at Baptist Health Paducah on Jan. 26. He had pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and terroristic threatening.

Tuesday, he took the Alford plea to a harassment charge. He was sentenced to six months of probation, and signed a deferment agreement.
