Missing girl found in East Tennessee
UPDATE: The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has posted confirmation that Carlie Trent was found safe Thursday, and 57-year-old Cary Simpson has been arrested.

A Knoxville news station is reporting missing 9-year-old Carlie Marie Trent has been found.
WBIR in Knoxville posted to Twitter Thursday that Carlie’s mother confirms she has been found safe.

NBC Nightly News also tweeted that the sheriff’s office is reporting Trent has been found and he uncle was taken into custody.

A Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokesperson has also said on social media that Trent may have been spotted in the East Tennessee county where she lives.
TBI Spokesman Josh DeVine posted to Twitter Thursday afternoon that "We have agents on the way to a reported sighting in Hawkins County. More details ASAP."

Trent was taken from her school in Rogersville, Tennessee, on May 4. She was taken by her uncle, Gary Simpson.
Rogersville is in Hawkins County.
