TBI: Carlie Trent Is In Imminent Danger

Investigators with The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation believe missing 9-year-old, Carlie Trent, is in imminent danger. Investigators believe Trent’s uncle, Gary Simpson, abducted her from school last Wednesday under false pretenses. The TBI says there is every indication that Simpson intended to go out of site.

The TBI issued an kidnapping warrant for Simpson. An Amber Alert was issued last Thursday, one day after Carlie Trent was last seen at school.

Carlie is white, 4 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 75 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black and gray tank top and blue jeans.

Simpson is a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 157 pounds.

Investigators believe the two are in a white 2002 Dodge conversion van with Tennessee registration 173GPS.

Authorities say they’ve received 500 tips so far and none have panned out.
