Escaped Weakley County Tennessee Detention Center inmate captured Friday morning

An inmate who escaped from the Weakley County Tennessee Detention Center Thursday afternoon was found Friday morning in Martin, Tennessee.

The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department says 25-year-old Derrick Nicholson walked away from a work detail in Dresden, Tennessee Thursday afternoon.

He was captured around 6:00 a.m. Friday near K Street and East Side Cemetery in Martin, Tennessee.

He will now face new charges of escape and evading arrest.
