All power restored after morning outage

UPDATE: The Gibson Electric Membership Corporation says power was restored just before 10:00 a.m. to all customers. They also updated the cause of the outage to a tree hitting a pole.


ORIGINAL POST: The Gibson Electric Membership Corporation is working on an outage caused when a car hit an electric pole.

The outage began just after 6:00 a.m. and knocked out power to about 418 homes and businesses north of Obion County.

Service has been restored to 239 members.

Crews will continue to work until power is restored to the remaining 179 members.

There is no word on what caused the crash or if anyone was injured.
