1 injured in Carbondale shooting

Carbondale police say they are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Thursday morning. 

Police say they responded to a complaint that shots had been fired around 5:18 a.m. Thursday at an apartment complex in the 900 block of West Sycamore Street.  

Officers say a victim, who the police department is not identifying at this time, had been shot. The victim was taken to the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale with what police say are serious injuries.
