Man arrested and charged with burglarizing storage unit

A Missouri man was arrested in Miner for burglarizing a storage unit.

The Miner Police Department says an officer was patrolling the area of Lucas Street when he went to check on some storage units.

The officer found 23-year-old Lance Chamberlain of Lilbourn inside one of the units.

Chamberlain had broken into the unit and was in the process of stealing items from it when the officer showed up.

He was arrested and taken to the Scott County Sheriff’s Department on charges of burglary 2nd degree, stealing, and property damage. Bond has been set at $15,000.

Police say Chamberlain may be responsible for other storage unit break ins in Sikeston and Miner.
