Ruger found dead almost two weeks after tornado

Ruger’s owners tell us he was found dead almost two weeks after the tornado hit portions of Graves and Marshall Counties.

On the ‘Help Find Ruger’ Facebook page, owners Matt James and Brie Keyes say, "We found our beloved Ruger this afternoon, not far from the storm sight, having never made it out as we had hoped. While our hearts break for the closure we feared the most, we are comforted in knowing he is not scared, alone or in any pain, and never was."

Ruger’s story quickly reached the hearts of many, including people from across the country.  Brie and James Ruger provided "2 amazing years of the most unconditional love any dog ever gave and our lives have forever been changed because he was here."
