Fiscal Court rules 2007 map changes shouldn’t be recognized

The McCracken County Fiscal Court passed a recommendation in open court Monday regarding mapping and zoning in the county.

It recognizes that the county’s maps were changed back in 2007.

Former Judge Executive Van Newberry and Deputy Judge Doug Harnice were accused of illegally changing those maps. The felony charge against Harnice was dismissed as part of a plea deal, but the court ruled those changes should not be recognized.
