Man charged with auto burglary in Carbondale

Carbondale, Illinois, police say a man accused of burglarizing a vehicle Tuesday has been arrested. 

Police say an auto burglary was reported at a business in the 400 block of South Illinois Avenue Tuesday. The victim told officers he saw a man take items from his vehicle while it was parked in a parking lot. 

The victim said he confronted the man, who then ran away. Police say they identified the man as 19-year-old Raeshaun Robinson, and he was found and arrested without incident. 

Robinson was charged with auto burglary and jailed in the Jackson County Jail.
